The Nursery is all on one level and there are five rooms for
different age groups, which apart from the Baby Unit the rooms
are divided by small walls. This makes it an easy transition
for children to move through the Nursery as they get older.
There is no mystery of rooms upstairs or down corridors as
the children are familiar with the look of the rooms and the
staff who work in them. The rooms are all large, bright and
cheerful and most important, welcoming.

We
have a lovely outdoor play area overlooking open fields and
horses. Weather permitting the children play outside every morning
and afternoon. All the children are respected as individuals
and are encouraged to develop their skills in a non-judgemental
way, without prejudice or discrimination. They are also encouraged
and expected not only to respect themselves but also each other.
Children
learn through play and activities are many and varied to keep
the children happy and stimulated throughout the day. Our pre-school children's learning is centred around the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework, where all children are encouraged to develop and learn new skills at their own pace.
|
| We
include contributions from different cultures and societies
in a non-stereotypical way. We understand and appreciate that
each child is seen as an individual and as such we tailor their learning to meet the childs' physical, mental and emotional
needs.
